How to add a SERVICE OWNER

You may assign a Service Owner to an individual service.  You can add your pool manager to oversee pool parties.  Add your tennis pro to manage your tennis lessons or court reservations.

  2. Explain the three (3) booking portal permissions.
  3. Show how to assign a service owner.
  4. Explain the service owner's special permissions.  

How to add a new user

1.  Click Manage Users
2.  Click yellow Plus button

3.  Add the name and email
4.  Select the role
5.  Click the yellow plus to add the site's database(s)
6.  Click Add User

When you create a new user, they receive an email to select a password and finish to complete their account set up.
This includes selecting a password.  Once they complete this step, they can now login with this email and password.

Booking portal permissions 




View Booking
A user with this permission can view the calendar pages but can not make any changes to the resources, services, or events.  
Your young seasonal staff that may need to answer a quick FAQ can be given this permission.  
Your trusted users that manage the day to day operations or provide patron support should be given this permission as well as the higher permissions listed below.  
Service Owners need to be given this permission.  

Manage Events
Events in the booking portal are coming soon.  Stay tuned.     

Manage Resources & Services
A service is something your patrons will book and reserve. A resource is a tool to help manage services and events.  CLICK HERE to read more. 
Users with this permission can add, edit, and manage services, resources, and bookings.  
Only your most trusted users should be given this permission.  Usually, this permission is only needed to "Set Up" your booking portal and is not needed in the day to day operations. 
If a user needs "Full Access" you may give them this permission along with the 2 previously listed permissions.  

How to add a SERVICE OWNER 




1.  In the booking portal's calendar page, click the service
2.  Click Service Owner: Unassigned.
3.  Select a user.  Only users with permission to view the booking portal will be listed here.  
4.  Click OK.  

What can the SERVICE OWNER do?

A service owner has special permission to manage the services only they own.  Not all services.  They also receive all email alerts regarding booking activity.   

Service owners can...
  1. Manage the service's settings.
  2. Add a booking manually.
  3. Edit an existing booking.
  4. Issue a refund.
What can the service owner not do?
  1. Edit the service name, description, or calendar's color.  
  2. Assign a different owner.
  3. Assign resources.
