How to REFUND money back to a patron's credit card

Overview


If a patron request their money back after adding funds to their ticket, you may issue a refund.  This is slightly different than issuing a refund from a redeemable product such as a guest pass.  To refund a product, read this article: CLICK HERE.   
In this article, we will:
  1. Find the ticket
  2. Refund the money
  3. See why an error message may appear
Find the purchase you would like to refund
1.  Click Tickets
2.  Search for your member's ticket
3.  Highlight the ticket
4.  Click the Transactions Icon.  This opens the transactions tab for this individual ticket
5.  Click Display in the transactions tab.  This opens all the transactions for this ticket



How to refund the money  
1.  Highlight the Deposit line
2.  Click Request Refund
3.  Adjust the amount and click OK.  You may issue a partial refund
4.  Click Refund


What is this error?  

If the funds (money) was used to puchase or redeem a product, you must first return the product.  Then you can refund the money.
