How to setup your barcode scanner

Overview

ID cards, ePasses, and barcode scanners purchased directly from Access Granted Systems are configured to scan classic passes, ePasses, and marketplace tickets.  You just need to connect the scanner to your computer by using the cord, USB wireless connection, or Bluetooth connection.  If you purchase from another store, you may need this guide to connect your barcode scanner to your ID cards or ePasses.

Having trouble pairing your device via Bluetooth? 

If you are using a scanner purchased from AGS and are using an iPad or wireless device, use the instruction booklet's Bluetooth Pairing instructions.  Use the  Table of Contents and find the page for Bluetooth Pairing.  (Page numbers vary.  It may be p. 4 or p. 57).  Follow all steps.

Why won't my scanner read my patron's phone?

Only optical 2D barcode scanners read through glass.  Read your scanner's specifications and instruction manual to ensure it is a 2D scanner.
