How Renewal Applications work

Overview

The Application Portal has a feature to allow existing members to renew their existing membership.  

How do members renew their membership?  
You'll post a link or button on your website where members can renew their membership. 
Member's submit an abbreviated application.  Usually only the T&Cs, wavier, or simple payment.    


How do these submissions differ than standard applications?   

Renewal applications are flagged with a green  R  icon.  In the settings you can set these to "Auto-Approve" or manually approve.  

How do I enable renewals?   

WARNING!!! Renewals are an advanced feature.  Ask your account representative to enable renewals.    

How do I modify my Application to make it a Renewal Application?     

Any field you wish to hide if the application is a renewal, enter #APP_IS_RNEW into the hide/unhide calculation.  Leave Initially Hidden unchecked.  
For example, you will enter #APP_IS_RNEW in all the member fields.  


Should I use this feature for my community?

  1. Complex membership fees.  Age based discounts, early/late fees, military discounts, etc.   
  2. Complex member or limited member policies.  Proof of residency, age policies, nannies, grandchildren, etc.
