Tip: How to help patrons complete the online application
Overview
We hope that patrons never have trouble submitting an online application. If a patron contacts you that does, AGS software has a few tools and other recommendations to respond to these instances.
- Ask the member to try a different web browser or computer. This tip is actually telling them to, "Start over and try again." They may have missed required field, dropped their internet connection, have "Cap Locks" on, typed in the wrong credit card #, or some silly mistake. Starting over or trying the next day resolves the majority of miss-tries.
- Complete the online application on behalf of the patron. Over the phone or in person. Do this if you need to keep 100% accurate tallies or collect payments.
- Add the person or household manually. Since you are already providing support, you may skip the applicaton entirely. Simply add the member. CLICK HERE to learn how.
